This converted nature house (nature house 56455) is a fine base to enjoy a vacation in Drenthe. The cottage is cozy, complete and comfortable (according to our guests). An Airco for the hot days. The cold days a wood stove (wood included, present). Comfort also in the bathroom with underfloor heating and sleeping in fine beds. Be convinced by the reviews, and welcome to us in Dalerveen! Please note! Our nature house has a double bed downstairs. Upstairs on the mezzanine there are two single beds. These beds are placed 'low to the floor', because the loft is low, 'maximum' 1,50m (see photo) in the ridge. So we find these beds especially suitable for children, but a nimble adult, can also enjoy a "cozy sleeping experience there as well!" (Would you please indicate whether you would like a double, or single bed?)
Nature and surroundings
The European cycling championships in 2023 made it clear that cycling can be fine and plentiful in Drenthe. ("round Dalen" for example). Consult internet for the possibilities. Hiking: Our own grounds of two hectares: Blocks of forest, a fruit orchard, an apiary, and further parts pasture left "alone". You walk along a mowed path among the tall vegetation. Chairs in the field to enjoy, look and listen to everything around you. Enjoy the sunset together. Take a trip to the many dolmens. visit the nature reserves (oa Bargerveen, Mantingerveld,). Visit the zoo. You could consider a day trip to Groningen. Or to Germany 10 km from here. Giethoorn, or even Schiermonnikoog can be reached. Permaculture: "Het Stalletje" (4 km Stieltjeskanaal), Every Friday and Saturday you can go there for fresh vegetables and more.
