Cozy cottage in the Drenthe countryside. The apartment with its own entrance offers plenty of peace and privacy, and the space is perfect for retreating and relaxing. In the living room there is the possibility to put down two single folding beds, so that you can stay in the cottage with 4 persons (if you book with 3 or 4 persons, you can tick one or two times 'Extra person' when booking, for €15). The cottage is complete with refrigerator, 4-burner stove, microwave, kitchen utensils, WiFi, TV, radio and even an old-fashioned record player with a few records. Board games are also provided, for a relaxing week (end) away. The cottage has a private terrace, where a garden table with chairs and a barbecue are at your disposal. Free parking is available on site.
Nature and surroundings
Odoornerveen is located on the Oranjekanaal (with permit suitable fishing water) with at 10 minutes cycling distance a wide heathland with grazers and terrace Poolshoogte, where with a climb on the Brandtoren you can "see for yourself" the beautiful forest that is located between Odoornerveen and Odoorn. Picturesque sand villages such as Valthe, Borger and (North) Sleen are also well worth a visit, here you will also find plenty of dolmens. The area is also perfect for cyclists and mountain bikers. Nearby are also several swimming waters. In the apartment you will find a folder with a large assortment of brochures of attractions in the area. You can buy groceries at the supermarket in the neighboring village of Schoonoord (10 minutes by bike), where you can also visit the outdoor museum Ellert and Brammert. For a wide range of shopping you can turn to Emmen (45 minutes by bike, 15 minutes by car), where among other things Adventure Zoo Wildlands is located.
