In the middle of a nature reserve stands our newly built cottage. Overlooking the meadows you can enjoy all the luxury and comfort the cottage has to offer. The nature house has an extensive kitchen including a large stove, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, a luxury bathroom with shower, separate bedroom with a double bed and a cozy living room with television and cozy pellet stove. Everything is at ground level in the cottage. The whistling birds wake you in the morning, and after a lovely morning walk, enjoy a cup of coffee on the sunny south-facing terrace. Behind the cottage you have access to a sheltered private garden where you can BBQ and relax. The farm has chickens, goats, horses and outdoor pigs. We possibly have a horse stable with drained riding arena and riding outs if you want to bring your horse.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is beautifully centrally located in the Kop van Drenthe. Roderwolde is a small village center of the municipality of Noordenveld and lies on the south side of the Leekstermeer area. Here water sports enthusiasts can swim, surf or sail to their heart's content. In fifteen minutes you are in the forests of Roden/Norg for a nice walk in the woods or sitting on one of the terraces of the lively student city of Groningen. Groningen is also easily reached by bicycle (30 minutes). The Groninger Museum, the Martini Tower or just wandering around the beautiful Groninger courtyards, there is something for everyone here. The Drents Museum in Assen (25 minutes drive) inspires young and old with stories about archeology, art and history. The nature house stands in a nature and water storage area of about 3500 soccer fields, consisting of grasslands, marshes, swamp forests and creeks. Here live numerous special animals such as the egret, blue harrier, bald eagle, bittern and osprey.
