Welcome to our beautiful nature house. Where you can completely unwind. Lovely walking and cycling. The Baker is around the corner, cafe and restaurant Hingstman a corner further with a lovely (heated) terrace. At the end of the street the beautiful well known Orangery. Zeijen is an old village in the province of Drenthe, northwest of the city of Assen. An esdorp with many Saxon farms. Our own farm dates from 1730. Behind the house the beautiful and unique nature area the Zeijerwiek, where you can walk from the house. But also discover the beautiful Drenthe by bike! Drenthe is bursting with cycling routes and is therefore the cycling province of the Netherlands. Nowhere in the country can you find more bike paths than in our province. No wonder. Cycling in Drenthe is particularly fascinating and throws you back in time. During your bike ride you will cross Drenthe's primeval landscapes and pass ancient dolmens and burial mounds.

Oh, Zeijerwiek, In my ears sounds your sound like the most beautiful classical music, Your peace, your beauty, your water as clear as glass, With beautiful trees reflected in it and the grimmest grass! Haozies, knienies, birds, fish, in short everything that nature provides, has found its place here and I hope it will stay that way for a very long time! Silently I stand here listening to the sounds of nature, It is the most beautiful thing there is, so honest and so pure....Hiel in the distance I hear a violin, how soft it sounds...Thankful I am, that I may enjoy so much silence here.
