Welcome to a wooden nature house in a prime location in the Norgerbos/Langeloerduinen and also near the center of Norg. The location gives a lot of privacy and there are no through bicycle / walking routes or roads along the house, but a lot of freedom, you walk straight from the garden into the surrounding forest! From the living room there is an unobstructed view of the surrounding forest, there is parking on site.
Nature and surroundings
Norg is a rustic Drents village, ideal for rest and nature lovers. In Norg there are several restaurants, terraces and stores. The nature areas around Norg are very varied (including Drents Friesewold, Landgoed Mensinghe, Noordsche Veld, Drentsche Aa, Fochteloërveen, Langeloërduinen, De Onlanden) with primeval forest, stream valley and esdorp landscape where ancient burial mounds and dolmens can be seen. The many cycling and hiking trails lead through forests, heathlands, beautiful bog villages and along sand drifts. Within a radius of 15km is Assen and 25 km is the city of Groningen. A visit to neighboring Veenhuizen, recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, is also worthwhile. It is 5 km away and offers many attractions including the Prison Museum, Maallust (including award-winning beers) and nature reserve Fochteloo where the special Crane can be observed.
