In the village of Oude Willem in Drenthe lies this partly wooden nature house on the edge of the Oude Willemerveld in the Drents-Friese Wold. From the house you can regularly spot the deer in the field. The cottage contains 2 bedrooms and a living/dining room with separately another large conservatory that serves as a 2nd living room. It has a Swiss Sense Boxspring, sturdy Flexa bunk bed with good mattresses and window screens. There is a TV, record player with LPs, a JBL tuner radio, lots of board games, books and binoculars to spot the birds and deer. The garden has several seats and is over 1,000 m2 (fenced: 3/4 fence: 1/4 sheep net for the ditch) outdoor fireplace for the real vacation feeling. The kitchen is very complete. There is a Nespresso machine, milk frother, Smegkoekkast and combi microwave and you can also gourmet. Want to go out: from the house you can walk into the Drents-Friese Wold and Diever is 5 minutes (car) and 12 min (bike).
Nature and surroundings
From the house with large windows and the garden you experience all the nature around you. It is very quiet because of the large plots of houses around it. In the Drents-Friese Wold you can walk and cycle for days on end without taking the same route. The landscape is very varied with forests, heath and sand drifts. There is all kinds of wildlife and you can see many different birds. In addition to nature, you can visit the dolmens and the colonies of beneficence, which have recently been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Drents Museum in Assen is also worth a visit, as well as the various Drentse Brinkdorpen. For the children there is a few minutes' walk to a playing field where you can play soccer, various playground equipment, badminton rackets. And in summer you can swim in the outdoor pools in Vledder and Appelscha, among others....
