Hop in your own private boat and row across the lake. Or prepare a nice meal with your own outdoor cooking utensils or arrange a takeaway from us. Of course, we have an outdoor fire pit so you can stare at the fire or stars for hours at night. Join us for an earthy experience.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the middle of the Hondsrug and is ideally suited for the nature lover who loves peace and quiet. There is an extensive network of cycling, equestrian and hiking trails. A varied nature and picturesque villages make it complete. Stores are a 10-minute drive away in Rolde, Borger and Grolloo. There is plenty to do around the private forest. In the vicinity are beautiful cycling and walking routes. In Assen starts one of the Happen & Trappen bicycle routes. Furthermore, the estate is located halfway along the walking route Rolde-Schoonoord of the Pieterpad. A few kilometers away you will find the Boomkroonpad. In Emmen is the Wildlands zoo, which is about a half hour drive from the nature house.
