New and unique cottage for 2 people! Do you already see yourself sitting on the spacious and partly covered terrace? With unobstructed views over the water of the Hendriksveen? You hear rustling leaves, twittering water birds and nothing else! Silence, tranquility! That is what a stay at the Hendriksveen offers you. A place where you automatically surrender to nature. The rippling water is soothing from your terrace and the navigable raft, or the shared canoe and rowboat. Also enjoy the cottage with sloping rising walls, a curved ridge beam supported by an oak log from the property, a porthole with its own story. The construction of this cottage became a delightful voyage of discovery that energized the managers, also the designers and builders. The artful layout of the cottage provides you with every comfort. A fully equipped kitchenette, dining table, large sofa, bedroom with two twin beds that can also be made into a double bed, and a composting toilet.

In the nearby building you also have your own toilet and shower. In the kitchen with ovens you can cook extensively; you share this kitchen with the guests from the two other cottages. On the estate we receive only adults, without dogs. You connect with the tranquility of the property which is managed sustainably. For example, wastewater is broken down there via a helophyte filter. When the sand excavation stopped in the last century, nature was able to take its course. In the lower parts special ferns, sundew and peat mosses grow. Be sure to bring your binoculars! You can take a lovely walk across the grounds, there is a so-called viewing path and a labyrinth. There are several places to sit, watch, read or meditate. You can swim in the lake (at your own risk), but fishing is not allowed. The Hendriksveen is located on many cycling and walking routes through forest and heathland. The villages Odoorn and Schoonoord are nearby. And do not forget the many dolmens in the vicinity.
