At the end of May 2024, after a major renovation, our forest cottage was rented out for the first time. Not only we are enthusiastic. Our guests also let us know how nice the nature house is. How quiet it is. How lovely it is to stay on the porch in good and bad weather. The cottage is fully modernized and insulated. There are two bedrooms. One has a 1.60m box spring bed from which you can watch TV. The other has a 1.40m sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped. The cozy living room has doors to the veranda. From there you look into the private garden, located on the South. Please note! From 1 October-1 April, the cottage can be booked from 3 nights. From 1 April-1 October per week, from Saturday to Saturday. From 1 April-30 September only on Saturdays, minimum for 7 nights! Feel free to ask what is possible.
Nature and surroundings
Already upon arrival one notices how quiet it is. Birds sing their hearts out, and the cuckoo can be heard. The flock of sheep regularly walks 'around the house. Under all weather conditions you can enjoy the wonderful peace on the terrace. Hiking and cycling routes start directly from the nature house. Walk one or more stages of the adjacent Drenthepad. A walk to the cozy Westerbork (2.5 km) or museum village Orvelte (2 km) is also worthwhile. Or bike into the beautiful countryside to, for example, the Mantingerzand, National Park the Drents Friese Wold, swimming pools in the woods, such as the Ieberenplas or 't Nije Hemelriek. Definitely worth a visit is the impressive camp Westerbork. Culture can be sniffed at the Drents Museum in Assen. Emmen with Widlands zoo is 25 km away. Groningen (50 km) is an excellent shopping city, but do you come for the peace and quiet? You will experience that in our nature house!
