Our nature house is a part (30 m2) of an authentic farmhouse from 1910, completely renovated in 2023, 200m away from Natura 2000 area Drentse A. Everything is on the ground floor. It is cozy and modern, fully equipped and very tastefully decorated. The modern kitchen is complete with refrigerator, induction hob, microwave oven, kettle, egg cooker, toaster and a Nespresso machine with milk frother and cups. The spacious, double bed has a, best tested, Mattsleeps mattress. Guests have a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is a private entrance, a parking space and a lockable bicycle shed. The property is heated by underfloor heating. Guests can use 3 terraces, one of which has a fire pit (wood available). An organic breakfast with honest and local regional products can be enjoyed until 11:00 a.m. at the hot bakery in Hooghalen (4 km) for a fee.
Nature and surroundings
Experience the experience of all seasons in the countryside of Drenthe, south of the Drenthe capital Assen. The nature house has a rustic location on the edge of the "Natura 2000" area "Stroomdallandschap Drentse Aa", this year also with breeding cranes right behind the house. It is located directly on the largest bicycle path network in our country. A tip for beautiful walking / cycling routes nearby: Look at "eindjeomindrenthe". Culture lovers can visit the Drents Museum (4 km), Remembrance Camp Westerbork (7 km), Gallery Wildevuur (6 km), the sustainability building in the Asserbos (4 km), the prison museum in Veenhuizen (18 km) and the Groninger Museum (20 min by train, opposite CS Groningen), Hortus Botanicus Haren. Special nature reserves are located in the vicinity of the nature house: the Dwingelerveld (20 km) , the Fochteloerveen (12 km), the Hijkerveld (10 km) and the Drents-Friese Wold (25 km) are highly recommended for nature lovers.
