My lodging is surrounded by greenery and silence and is intended for women who, for whatever reason, want to unwind for a while in a rural, calm environment. In my spacious rustic, residential farmhouse in Ruinerwold - Drenthe I rent out a cozy, comfortable sleeping/sitting room with a lovely double bed, covered with natural bedding from sheep's wool and organic cotton. The accommodation is fully equipped, including a cozy sitting area & desk space. Private shower & toilet near the lodge. In the cosy, peaceful lodge on the ground floor in the farmhouse part, it is pleasantly quiet. It invites you to introspection and is nurturing at the same time. Breakfast is included. For €18.50 per day you can use my dinner/dessert service. I cook every day with love, organic and with harvest from my own vegetable garden, food forest and orchard. Rental of Logement is from a minimum of four nights, so you can fully relax, rest & recharge. Be welcome!
Nature and surroundings
On the 7 km long pear orchard, the Dr. Larijweg in Ruinerwold, my large residential farmhouse is hidden between greenery on 2 ha of land. You can wander for hours through the huge food forest, the large vegetable garden and the various orchards. In the quiet surroundings, time has stood still a bit and you are still greeted by the villagers. Villages such as Havelte, Dwingeloo and Ruinen are within cycling distance. In Ruinerwold itself there is a supermarket, an ancient café, museum farm De Karstenhoeve and some smaller stores. If you want more extensive shopping, the cozy town of Meppel is a good option and the old Hanseatic city of Zwolle is easily reached by train in 15 minutes. At 500m from the farm is a good bus service to Meppel and several villages. In Meppel itself is a train station. For hikers there are several hiking trails from the lodge to walk along beautiful, monumental farms. A little further away is National Park Dwingelderlveld.
