Relax in our comfortable and modern furnished forest cottage. Our cottage is located in the forest, where the deer walk right past the cottage and where a wide variety of birds can be seen and heard. At night it is completely quiet here and (when the moon is not shining) also completely dark. In short: an oasis of peace and nature. The cottage is fully equipped. It has a cozy sitting room with open kitchen. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped for preparing meals well. Besides several pans there is also a Nespresso machine (there is a starting supply of coffee waiting for you), a kettle (we also thought of tea bags), a 4-burner stove, a combi microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with small freezer and many kitchen utensils. In the kitchen there is also kitchen paper, olive oil, various spices including salt and pepper and a soap dispenser with hand soap. You can leave your pots, pans, hand and tea towels and kitchen utensils at home.
Nature and surroundings
You walk from the house straight into the woods (Holtingerveld) and is a good base for forest and heath walks or a visit to the dolmens within walking distance. In addition, the Uffelter Binnenveld, Brandeveen, Dwingelderveld or the Drents-Friese Wold are nearby. By car, the Weerribben and the Wieden near Giethoorn and the Reestdal are easy to reach. Fun towns like Steenwijk and Meppel are 15 minutes away and the well-known villages of Dwingeloo and Diever are within cycling distance. The Colonies of Benevolence in Frederiksoord are just around the corner. This special place is in July 2021 on the UNESCO World Heritage List and well worth a visit!
