Unobstructed country views, and breathtaking sunsets, from this two-bedroom residence. A place of paradise. The cottage is made with attention, creativity, ecological and recycled materials. With French doors, a lovely double bed and large stargazing window. The wood stove, together with the underfloor heating, ensures a cozy stay. You can make coffee and tea inside, eat and write at a table with stools. Cooking can be done in the covered outdoor kitchen with gas stove and refrigerator. There is a fire pit with an axe. Basically everything you need.
Nature and surroundings
You will stay at a spacious Nature Campground in Drenthe, Unesco Geopark de Hondsrug. Blikveld is at the edge of the forest, with twin house OnderZeil and a number of Yurts further away. Further into the forest is room for campers. Here and there are vintage cars and special lodgings, boats to borrow in Lake Pingo. Breakfast and fine dining are offered in season. Sauna bar for rent.Besides relaxing here, this place is a perfect base. Near megalithic tombs, forest lakes like Gasselterveld and the beautiful blue lake of 't Nije Hemelriek. Furthermore, you can meet the flock of sheep on the heath, go mountain biking, take on the challenge in the climbing park a little further away, and make beautiful canoe trips. Besides the authentic villages, the cities Groningen, Assen and Emmen are also worth a visit. In the nature house you will find a mini-VVV with information about the area, personal tips for e.g. regional products and picking gardens.
