Finca Bavaria

If you want your next natural adventure to be unforgettable, then you need to consider staying in a finca in Bavaria. Fincas are rural or agricultural lands, usually with a cottage on them. Located in secluded areas, they are spacious and cozy and will provide you with everything for a comfortable stay in nature. Bavaria is the home to German traditions. Mountains and nature reserves, ancient cultural landscapes and wild animals create surroundings fit for a fairytale ready to house your next travel adventure.

The great outdoors

There is so much to do in Bavaria, it is a real heaven for nature enthusiasts. You can check out the Bavarian lakes and rivers and especially the Great Lake Alpsee nearby the Neuschwanstein castle. The lake mirrors the beauty of the surrounding alpine landscape, creating some of the greatest sceneries in the region.

Moreover, endless mountain ridges and dense forests create beautiful mountain panoramas to welcome you in the national and nature parks of Bavaria. Among the few on its territory, the Bavarian Forest National Park is in fact the first national park in Germany as a whole. Nearby, the Berchtesgaden National Park presents one of the oldest protected territories in the Alps.

Activities

For the most amazing view of Bavarian land, hike to the peak of Lusen together with a local guide. Wind, sun and freh air will meet you atop the Lusen in the Bavarian Forest National Park. The guide will provide enough information about the whole province, but more specifically about the park and their mission in preserving the wilderness area.

Cycling your way through the province is a great way to experience the natural and cultural highlights of Bavaria. There are plenty of routes of different difficulty – you can cycle across Franconia, along the river Danube, or in Eastern Bavaria. In Franconia, our favorite is the Mainradweg cycle trail, which lets you enjoy the riverbank of river Main and the rich heritage in terms of history, culture as well as cuisine along the river and across villages in the region. The whole path is around 600km long, however it is split into stages suitable for a one-day-trip.

Another great activity in the Bavarian Alps is to go on a hike. There is a well-established network of trails opening your way to breathtaking panoramas and a rich biodiversity. A tour of the Berchtesgaden Alps will take you on a wild trip through the steep mountain peaks and deep forest to the Lake Königssee peacefully resting at the bottom of the valley.

Those who are looking for a real adventure can enjoy the well-established culture of mountain sports in Bavaria and go on a marked mountain biking route or even go rock-climbing in the “Mecca” – the Franconian Jura Mountains await adrenaline-seekers with more than 10,000 routes and 800 rocks of all difficulties. Climbers have recognized “Sautanz”, “Magnet” and “Wallstreet” as the best rocks for freeclimbing throughout the world. If you are experienced enough, a guide will happily show you the way to the spectacular views from atop these rocks.
