Unique animals in Europe
At 40cm in size, it will be really difficult to miss the European green lizard. This unique lizard has a bright green back and a yellow belly. Interestingly, during the mating season, men change their color to bright blue. The green lizard lives at an altitude of 2000m, so while climbing in the Austrian mountains, be sure to look around. If you travel from autumn to winter, then you will probably notice these lizards in caves and dry hiding places. However, in the summer, starting in March, these beauties will bask in the sun.
Beautiful pink flamingos inhabit one of the best nature reserves in Europe. Pink flamingos live with amazing wild horses in the Camargue reserve in France. The pink flamingo has become a symbol of the Camargue, in its vibrant pink colors. In lagoons, swamps, or flying upwards, demonstrating their beauty, the pink flamingo is a great sight. As you walk the 4 trails in the Camargue, you will quickly understand why this bird is one of the 12 most unique animals to see in Europe.
If you happen to be sailing in Southern Ireland, somewhere in the distance, an underwater head can pop out a broken head. This could be the humpback whale, the magnificent and huge whale that lives in the ocean around Ireland. Despite their impressive and frightening size, 12-16m, they are harmless and gentle. These beautiful whales arrive in late fall, singing their intricate songs, lasting between 10-20 minutes.
Fascinating and frightening, wolves are one of the endangered animals in Europe. These unique animals easily adapt to any habitat, in their camouflage colors, and are large in size. There are many breeds of wolves, but the average wolf can weigh up to 70 kilograms.
Wolves live in forests, in packs, and are considered highly protected animals in Europe. There are conservation centers and reserves to protect wolves and provide them with the best conditions so that they do not disappear completely.

The Dolomites in Italy

For all the reasons listed above, the Dolomites are the ideal holiday destination in the Italian mountains.
Snowdon Mountain in Wales
Mount Snowden is so beautiful that it's no surprise that it has its own walking app. Snowdon is located in Wales, and after a 6-8 hour hike, you can enjoy stunning views of Snowdonia, Anglesey, Pembrokeshire, and Ireland. In addition, from a height of 1085m, you will also be able to see all the beautiful lakes. For example, Lake Cwellyn and Mynydd Mawr offer amazing views at the end of Lake Cwellyn Trail.
Adrspach-Teplice in the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is best known for its beautiful Prague. Very few people know about the beautiful Bohemia and the rock village, Adrspach-Teplice. Adrspach is located near the Polish border and fully deserves a place in the Amazing Natural Wonders of Europe. Adrspach-Teplice is a village built in the center of rock formations, rising high, with labyrinths, an orange stream, and paths.
This charming place was discovered only in 1824. Since then it has been a special destination for tourists looking for the extraordinary. You can walk along the path, through the Gothic gate and the secret passages. There is nothing like admiring the amazing rock formations inside and reaching the blue lake. Since you will be walking in the heart of these giant rocks, it is best to visit in the summer, when the days are longer and there is a lot of light.
Climate
Temperatures vary in latitude and altitude. In winter, temperatures decrease from south to north, because as the latitude increases, the amount of solar heat received decreases. In addition, temperatures decrease from west to east in winter, as the influence of ocean air masses gradually weakens and the influence of continental air masses increases. The highest temperatures were measured in the Iberian Peninsula(48°C) and the lowest in Northeastern Europe(-52°C).
The annual rainfall on the continent also varies from west to east. As you move away from the Atlantic Ocean, rainfall gradually decreases. In the Atlantic regions, the annual rainfall is about 1000 - 2000mm, and in the Eastern European plain - about 300 - 500mm. The highest amount of precipitation was measured in Tsarkvice station -5317mm. It is located in the Dinaric Mountains, on the western slopes, which meet the humid air masses of the Mediterranean. The lowest precipitation was measured in the Caspian lowlands - 160mm.
The prevailing winds in Europe are westerly and southwesterly, which carry moist air from the Atlantic Ocean throughout the year. The northeast winds are very cold and affect mainly in winter.
