Flora and fauna of Europe
It is very diverse, as is the climate of the continent. Although in the past both flora and fauna were much more abundant, you can still find wealth. Man's progress over nature to gain habitat and two world wars ended in many kinds. Much of Europe's forests are man-made, and only the forests of Scandinavia and Russia survive in a primitive state. This is also the case with the Caucasus forests and the cork oak forests of the Western Mediterranean. There are a large number of nature reserves and national parks throughout Europe, where the flora and fauna of this continent are preserved.

When ripe, they form a whitish snowflake that melts with the wind. Widely used in gastronomy. Edelweiss - this is an alpine plant known as the snow flower. It grows in the rocky and mountainous regions of the Alps and is the national flower of Switzerland. In the Alpine countries it is the flower of courage and bravery. According to legend, if a person was in love, he must climb 2,000 meters in search of this flower to prove his love. The rose, more than a plant, is a genus of thorny shrubs that attach a flower that is a symbol of all flowers. There are more than 100 different species of roses, but only some are endemic to Europe. Like the tulip, it is a cult object of many European flower growers. Daisy is now scattered around the world, but is a native species in Europe. They are white with a yellow center, but there is also a subspecies that is purple with a yellow center.
The fauna of the European area, created as a result of the Quaternary climatic changes, belongs to the Palearctic zoogeographic land and varies depending on the climatic and plant zones. In the tundra zone there are: reindeer, white bear, doggie, lemmings, grouse; in the taiga zone - elk, wolverine, capercaillie, black grouse, hazel grouse; in the steppe zone - suhak, gopher, bean, great bustard, formerly also tarpan; in the forest zone south of the taiga - red deer, roe deer, wild boar, wildcat, European bison(formerly also aurochs), dormouse, baskets, dormouse.
The area of southern Europe is inhabited, among others, by: fallow deer, mouflon(originally Sardinia and Corsica), ichneumon and civet(Spain), jackal(Balkan Peninsula), macaque - the only monkey in Europe(Gibraltar), and also from birds from the south, flamingos and pelicans; numerous reptiles(e.g. geckos). The fauna of the mountains of Europe, which varies between the different levels, is rich in typical mountain species, such as chamois, ibex, marmot, golden eagle, brick wall, salamanders. Due to the development of huge areas of Europe and a significant reduction in forest cover, some species have become extinct(e.g. aurochs), others have survived only in hard-to-reach areas; some have adapted to the conditions created by man, e.g. in an urbanized environment: sparrow, nestling, starling, hamlet, and even gained better development opportunities in them, e.g. numerous rodent and insect pests.

Climate
Most of Europe sees seasonal temperatures consistent with temperate climates in other parts of the world, though summers north of the Mediterranean Sea are cooler than most temperate climates experience in summer. Among the cities with a population over 100,000 people in Europe, the coldest winters are mostly found in Russia, with daily highs in winter averaging 0°C, while the mildest winters in the continent are in southern Portugal, southern Spain, and in coastal areas of the islands of Sicily and Crete. On the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands in the European Macaronesia have by far the mildest winters of any place in Europe.
The hottest summers of the continent occur in cities and towns of the hinterland of southern Spain: July average highs in this region are 36.9°C in Cordoba and 36.2°C in Seville. The highest extreme temperatures have been recorded in Athens with a controversial 48.0°C and inside the southern valleys of the Iberian Peninsula, with towns such as Amareleja(Portugal) and Montoro(Spain) recording temperatures of 47.4°C and 47.3°C respectively.
